- Empower self-management - Participants actively press the seeds themselves, giving them a sense of control over their pain rather than being passive recipients of treatment.
In this study, participants received four weekly sessions where a trained interventionist placed the seeds on their ears. Then, for five days after each session, participants pressed on the seeds themselves - three times a day for three minutes each time. After five days, they removed the seeds to let their ears rest before the next session.

Pain Reduction

This suggests that we my need to include more down-regulatory techniques - like breathwork, meditation, relaxation, etc, in a any chronic pain management plan.
